Belton Police Investigating String of School Burglaries
The Belton Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify multiple suspects in the burglary and vandalism of several area schools.
The images in the gallery above were taken from surveillance footage following a break-in at Sparta Elementary School on June 22. Detectives believe the same suspects are responsible for burglaries at South Belton Middle School on July 8, Belton schools within the Temple city limits on June 10 and 15, and the Belton High School athletics building between midnight and 6 a.m. on July 10.
In each case, the suspects intentionally damaged property, ransacked offices, and stole small electronics and other items.
The suspects have always covered their faces and hands, but police are hoping someone may be able to identify one or all of them based on their clothing or their mannerisms.
Anyone who may be able to help is asked to call the Belton Police Department at 254-933-5840 or email police@beltontexas.gov. Information may also be submitted via text message to (254-217-6764.
