There always seems to be something happening in Belton. Whether it's monthly Market Days to the Turtle Fest to the nationally-acclaimed Independence Day Parade every 4th of July, it's a place where residents' social schedules are full. Remarkable for a town of 20,000 residents.

This is no accident according to officials with the City of Belton. Their latest function, Christmas on the Chisholm Trail is like a family Christmas Festival. There's even a parade through the town with Santa Claus in tow.

Event Coordinator Jeremy Allamon from the City of Belton's Parks and Recreation Department joined us in studio this week, giving credit to multiple organizations for the continuing collaboration which makes these events happen.
