Get the babies ready to be tossed in the ditch. Record Bluebonnet Bloom is underway.

If you like taking pictures of Bluebonnets, then you might want to plan a trip to Big Bend National Park.

Texas Hill Country.com is reporting a record bloom is happening.

They report that local photographer Lee McMullen is saying he hasn't seen a bloom like this in decades. He claims the roadsides and bluffs within Big Bend are being overtaken by Chisos bluebonnets.

Big Bend National Park is easily one of the most scenic areas in the Great State of Texas. With huge bloom of Bluebonnets it's a sweet layer of icing on a Texas sized cake.

$30 will get you in to Big Bend, with a non-commercial vehicle, and the pass is valid for 7 days. They claim that you should drive from Mule Ears Viewpoint to the Casolon Visitor Center for the best bloomin' viewing.
