Bloomin’ Festival Helps Children’s Advocacy Center of Central Texas
Next Friday, May 15, Temple’s annual spring celebration begins. Bloomin' Festival features two days of concerts, vendors, food trucks and kid stuff. Plus a carnival and fireworks. Get your tickets at CEFCO or online. Your family will have fun and help out Children’s Advocacy Center at the same time.
Just like last year, a portion of the Bloomin' Fest proceeds will help fight child abuse in Central Texas. That is what Children’s Advocacy Center of Central Texas (CACCT) is all about.
The Center is a safe place, in a child friendly environment, where child abuse victims and their families receive counseling, sexual assault exams, and family advocacy services.
The CACCT also provides outreach, and education to the community about the issues of child abuse and what we can do to stop it.
Increasing public awareness is a major weapon in the fight against child abuse. CACCT offers training for school personnel and others in the community, to help them identify and respond to child abuse victims.Tthey can also use volunteers.
Having fun at Temple Bloomin' Festival is one way to support the Children's Advocacy Center. Just get your tickets here or at CEFCO and know that you are helping a child.
