Boil Water Notice Issued for Cameron and Buckholts

Customers of Salem Elm Ridge Water Supply in Cameron and Buckholts are being asked to boil their water until further notice. 

According to a water system representative we spoke to via telephone, a water main broke, causing a major depletion in an area tank. That tank is now replenished, but water from that system should be boiled as a safety precaution.

Any water meant for consumption should be left at a rolling boil for at least 60 seconds, and any water or ice set aside within the past 24 hours should be re-purposed for non-consumption or discarded. For more information, contact Robert Jekel at (254) 697-4016 or the TCEQ at (512) 239-4691.
