Spooky things will be afoot along the Haunted Hayride Trail at Bend O' the River Park in Temple Saturday, October 24. If you dare to be there for the scare, get registered tonight.

For health and safety reasons, Temple Parks & Rec is asking that families interested in this year's festivities purchase tickets in advance. There'll be limited room on the hayrides, so you'll want to get your tickets soon. (Tickets will not be sold at the gate.)

Tickets are on sale now at Eventbrite.

Each trailer will be carry 10 people at a time, and bales of hay will be spaced to ensure safe physical distancing. You'll also be required to wear a face mask for the protection of other guests, who'll wear theirs to keep you safe as well. There'll also be sanitizer and soap and water stations available.

Family-friendly rides will happen between 3 PM and 5 PM. The Haunted Hayrides will begin at 6 PM. All ages are welcome.

If you're looking for a chilling and fun way to have some Halloween fun with your family, get your tickets now.

If you're interested in volunteering for this or any other Temple Parks & Rec events, they'd love to have your help. You can find a volunteer form here.

Speaking of Bend O' the River, one of our favorite events is returning there October 6 and 7.

It's the 10th annual Ribs 'N' Rods car show to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Enjoy awesome cars, live music, activities for the whole family, and, of course more barbecue than you shake a rib at. Get all the details here, and we hope to see you there!
