Bullet Found On Belton School Bus

BELTON - A student found a .22 caliber bullet on a Belton ISD school bus on Tuesday.

Officials investigating the incident discovered that the bullet was brought on the bus by an elementary school student without a weapon.

The student had brought the bullet to show friends from school.

There was no threat and no weapon was ever involved in the incident.

The school district says that the appropriate disciplinary action has been taken and parents of the students involved have been notified.

The Belton school district says the safety of their students is always their first priority.
