The Coronavirus is spreading, and lots of people are turning to the use of face masks or respirators to try and prevent getting the virus. Makes sense right? Well, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued a warning for bearded men that outlines what kind of beard you should have or trim to in order to effectively wear a face mask.

Full-on beards are out on this list, as they recommend a handlebar mustache or short goatee. Turns out that full-on beards prevent a full seal on face masks or respirators, which means that without the full seal, you could still breathe in the virus.

So, if you're worried about getting the Coronavirus and you're thinking about a face mask or respirator, you may want to look at your shaving options. The CDC even released an info graphic with the acceptable and unacceptable beards. Check it out!
