Our local news partner, KWTX-TV, had executives in Washington D.C. in order to receive a special gift.

That gift was an award. The National Association of Broadcaster Education Foundation's Service to American Television Award to be specific. They received it for all that they've done this past year for the community that they serve.

Some of their standout achievements in community outreach include the telethon they did for the Waco Boys & Girls Club, Food For Families, their "On-Call" programs which connect residents with doctors to discuss health issues. And then there was their award-winning documentary "We Can't Forget Vietnam".

Congrats KWTX and Central Texas.
