The City of Temple will close a portion Hogan Road to through traffic for five months so they can complete a portion of a construction project scheduled to be completed over a year from now.

On Monday, March 18, the stretch of Hogan Rd. between State Highway 317 and and Cedar Lane will closed. Eastbound traffic from Cedar Road to South Pea Ridge Road will still be allowed. Westbound drivers will need to travel west along Tarver Drive to 317, south to Oak Hill Drive, and then north up Cedar Lane.

"This closure will allow crews to begin reconstruction and expansion of the existing roadway to a three-lane collector," Shannon Gowan with the City of Temple said Friday. "

Additional infrastructure includes 12-inch and 18-inch water lines, drainage conveyance, and a 10-foot wide sidewalk.  Residents will continue to be provided access. The project is expected to be completed by May 2020."
