Drool in the Pool with Your Dog at Temple’s Clark Pool Saturday, September 7
The summer heat finally caught up with us, and even man's best friend needs a fun day to cool off. Make a splash with your dog at Temple Parks & Recreation's Drool in the Pool splash bash!
Bring your four-legged friend to Clark Pool, 1808 Curtis B Elliot Drive in Temple, on Saturday, September 7. From 10 AM to Noon, your pet can doggy paddle around the pool and have a cool time. Guards will be on duty to make sure everyone is safe and on their best behavior.
Vaccination forms are required to participate, so make sure yours are current. It's recommended your dog be on a leash when you arrive too.
The first 50 dogs to arrive will receive a free bandanda, a doggy bag, and a picture.
For more information, give Temple Parks & Recreation a call at (254) 298-5930.
Whether you make join in on the fun or not, be sure you know what signs to look for in dogs who may be overwhelmed by the Texas summer heat.
If your dog spends a lot of time outside, make sure they always have plenty of water, shade, and mobility. Don't make them walk on hot surfaces like asphalt or concrete without protection, and NEVER leave your dog alone in a car where temperatures can soar and they'll likely get seriously ill or die.
