Temple Police Arrest Man Suspected in October Strangulation Death
A 25-year-old murder suspect was being held in the Bell County Jail Friday in lieu of bonds totaling $1,050,000. He's suspected of strangling a man to death at a Temple home back in October.
According to the Temple Police Department, officers were dispatched to a home in the 1300 block of South 35th Street shortly before 8:30 AM on October 28. When they arrived, they found 59-year-old Mark Sebesta dead.
An autopsy at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Science revealed the cause of death to be strangulation.
A suspect, 25-year-old Coby Sebesta, was arrested on October 28 on a warrant out of Bosque County for the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Once investigators determined that he may have killed the elder Sebesta, a warrant charging Coby Sebesta with first degree felony murder was issued.
Jail records indicate a third three felony charge labeled "OFFENSE UNKNOWN", as well. Records list Sebesta as homeless out of Waco.
Police have not commented on the relationship between the two men.
