Compassion Experience Coming to Central Texas
A free exhibit offering a glimpse into the lives of children growing up in developing nations is coming to Central Texas next weekend.
From Friday, October 20 through Sunday, October 22, The Compassion Experience will be on display at Waco's Central Texas Marketplace, 2516 West Loop 340.
Visitors will tour exhibits simulating homes, schools, and markets in countries including the Philippines, Kenya, Uganda, and the Dominican Republic.
While the event is free, they do ask that you register ahead of time at the event website. Click here to check that out.
Note: The event is organized by Compassion International, a Christian child sponsorship charity, so if you attend, chances are you'll be asked to consider donating to the cause or sponsoring a child. If you find you're interested in helping, but you want to make sure the charity is on the up-and-up, below are a few helpful links.
