Two conspiracy theorists were arrested Monday at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas after the church's pastor says they showed up at the building to harass survivors of the November 5, 2017 shooting that resulted in 26 deaths and 20 injuries.

Pastor Frank Pomeroy, whose 14-year-old daughter was killed in the attack, told the San Antonio Express News he was in his car near the church when he saw a pair of men - identified as Robert Ussery, 54, and Jodi Mann, 56 - approaching the chapel.

According to Pomeroy, Mann wrote "The truth shall set you free" on a poster meant to be signed by well-wishers, then recognized Pomeroy and began demanding to see his daughter's birth certificate, claiming that the girl never existed.

Pomeroy told the paper Ussery was also belligerent, threatening to hang Pomeroy from a tree and urinate on him. Pomeroy said it seemed the two were trying to bait him and another church member into reacting, but they instead contacted police. The pair were arrested. Booking information is pending.

According to Pomeroy, the pair have been harassing church members for months, even calling some at home to interrogate them about the attack. The men run a conspiracy theory website, and claim the attack was, along with other recent mass shootings, a drill staged by the Department of Homeland Security.
