Temple is set to take on Corsicana in the first 2017 playoff game this Saturday, and this almost seems like a timely omen of a Wildcat victory.

According to a Facebook post by the Corsicana Police Department, officer Alex Layfield was flagged by a driver who sat through a green light at the intersection of Highway 31 and Interstate 45 Tuesday.

When Officer Layfield checked the driver's license, he found that it had been suspended. The driver was arrested for driving with an invalid license with previous convictions.

Police then searched the driver's car and found 12 grams of Xanax, containers of meth, bags of tar heroin, heroin tablets, syringes, digital scales, and other paraphernalia.

The driver then faced additional charges of manufacturing and possession of controlled substances.
