COPPERAS COVE - No classes will be held on Wednesday after eight bomb threats in a week.

Late Tuesday night Copperas Cove ISD school officials announced that classes at all of the campuses in the district will not be held on Wednesday.

Bomb threats near the end of the school day Tuesday led to the evacuation of Copperas Cove High School and S. C. Lee Junior High School.

The two schools were evacuated just before 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Copperas Cove officers were dispatched to both campuses and drug-sniffing dogs were brought in to search the schools.

The schools were cleared of any threats, but officials decided to keep students out of the schools.

The threats were the seventh and eighth in the district in the span of a week.
