For months now there’s been a drought in Texas, during which lake levels have gone way down and the pavement has been hot enough to fry an egg on. (Trust me - my son and I did it.)

Well, if you've peaked out your window today, you may have noticed that we've finally gotten some rain. It's a real blessing, but we have to remember to be careful.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND WATCH FOR SIGNS OF FLOODING IN TEXAS

In a lot of cities in Texas we’re highly relieved to receive some much-needed rain again. I know here in Central Texas we went over 100 days without rain. It had been a sweltering summer for the great state, even breaking some records. I don't remember experiencing a hotter summer in my lifetime.

Even though Killeen and all of Central Texas were happy about the rain, a city that might not be too excited about all this wet stuff could possibly be Dallas. The flooding in the Big D was so horrific that there are actual rescue parties to help people get out of the water to prevent drowning.

TEXAS PLEASE REMAIN SAFE OUT THERE AN WE ARE PRAYING FOR DALLAS

Watching the video of the flooding in Dallas Monday morning was just terrifying. There are 18-wheelers that were literally underwater due to this rain. I’m not exactly sure if that will be receiving any more rain, but we definitely need to  pray for the people who lost their vehicles. I'm just glad they escaped with their lives.

There have not been any reported deaths during the flooding, but if there are we will definitely keep everyone updated to make sure you stay safe out there.
