A Denton man was behind bars Friday after allegedly decapitating his mother, then leading police on a chase to Oklahoma.

FOX News shared the story from the Associated Press. According to the AP, Denton police were called to the apartment complex at which 22-year-old Isaac Israel Warriner lived with his mother on Sunday, May 5. A neighbor grew concerned after seeing the man carrying cleaning supplies and "acting weird".

When officers arrived, they found Sarah's headless body inside her apartment with a hacksaw lying nearby.

The next day, Isaac Warriner was seen in his mother's car and authorities gave chase. He was stopped in Oklahoma and returned to Denton to face charges.

According to online jail records, Warriner was booked into the Denton County Jail on Thursday, May 16, where he remained Friday, May 17. He's charged with abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana, and two counts of driving while intoxicated. No murder charges were listed.

Records indicated Warriner has previously been jailed at the facility for driving while intoxicated.

Police have not commented on possible murder charges or a motive.
