Great News: Downtown Temple, TX Is Finally Fixing the Parking Problem
With more and more people moving to Temple, Texas every day, growth of the region has been explosive over the past few years. We've seen more housing, new restaurants, and new shopping spaces. One place that's finally getting the love and modern updates it's needed for years is Downtown Temple.
Yes, we all know Downtown Temple is looking better and better these days, but if you've ever tried to find a parking space at a downtown restaurant or shop, especially in the evening, you know it's a struggle.

Parking In Downtown Temple
Yes, anyone who's visited Downtown Temple lately has noticed that parking can be a nightmare. That's all about to change.
According to FOX 44, officials for the city have announced they will be bringing more spots for people to park and visit the downtown area. It won't just be parking lots however - it will be 2 parking garages available to patrons. One garage will be located on First Street, with the other one on Fourth Street.
FOX 44 reports that the garage on Fourth Street will stand at six stories and have over 415 parking spots. The ground floor will also have various amenities as well.
Communications and Public Relations Manager for the City of Temple, Kiara Nowlin, stated in a comment to FOX 44 about the growth:
“We want visitors to the downtown area to have the best visitor experience as possible, and so the city identified the need for more parking spaces, so the parking garages will kind of fulfill that need in the downtown area"
Parking isn't the only item undergoing revitalization however, with the city also focusing on other renovations of the city.
For example, the Hawn Hotel is getting a major makeover. If you've been in the downtown area lately, you've seen all the scaffolding. Even the neighboring Arcadia Theater is getting a facelift after years of projects to improve and reopen it fizzling out.
