Laugh and Ring in the Holidays as the Beltonian Theatre Screens ‘Elf’
It is definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and with that comes great Christmas movies. One of my all-time favorites is a musical and comedy with one of my top actors, the talented Will Ferrell. As you've probably guessed, the movie is called Elf, and the Beltonian Theatre in Belton is about to start screening it for the holiday season.
If you’re not familiar with the movie Elf, your first time watching it will be a Christmas treat, and now your family can experience it on the big screen.
Buddy who is played by the always funny Will Ferrell, is accidentally transported to the North Pole as a toddler and raised to adulthood among none other than Santa's elves.
Unable to shake the feeling that he doesn't fit in (probably because he is taller than elves' houses), Buddy travels to New York in search of his real father. After a DNA test proves their related, Buddy attempts to start a relationship with his dad, which has Christmas turned upside down.
I’m so excited to announce that the Belton Theatre at 219 E Central Ave in Belton will be showing this hysterical movie starting Tuesday, November 16 at 6PM. They'll have more screenings on Nov. 19 and 20 as well. Check out their website for showtimes.
Things get even sweeter, too. If you want to eat like Buddy in the movie, when he pretty much makes diabetes in a bowl with a festive pasta and syrup combination, you will be able to receive that ridiculous sugar rush during the movie.
Seriously: the Beltonian is serving up a special Elf dish which consists of rainbow sprinkles, chocolate syrup, maple syrup, mini marshmallows, and M&Ms.
This movie is about family and keeping the Christmas spirit alive. Whether this will be your first time seeing it, or you want to share the magic with family and friends with a genuine theater experience, I hope you can take your loved ones to enjoy this great film at one of Central Texas' most charming venues.
The Beltonian Theatre will also have screenings of Home Alone 2 and Die Hard (both Christmas classics, if you ask me) coming up soon, so keep an eye on their website and Happy Holidays!
