Father Daughter Sweetheart Stroll Coming to Downtown Temple February 6
Temple's annual Father Daughter Dance will look a lot different this year due to the pandemic, but it will still be a night to make precious memories.
This year's event will be a Father Daughter Sweetheart Stroll through Temple's Santa Fe Plaza.
Being somewhat new to Central Texas, I have found that the city of Temple really steps up to community involvement. I know with the current pandemic that a lot of events have been cancelled or have had to change the way it operated, like The Bloomin' Festival, the annual 4th of July fireworks show, the annual Christmas Parade, and even the 1st Fridays have been different just to name a few.
So the pandemic has forced us to change the way we do things. The City of Temple has embraced that, and instead of the traditional Father Daughter Dance, they'll transition into the Father Daughter Stroll.
Fathers and daughters can enjoy a stroll around Santa Fe Plaza while enjoying some prepackaged refreshments, music, a special gift, and more!
Yes, COVID-19 safety guidelines will be in place and they will limit tickets to just 50. Also, you must purchase them in advance. No tickets will be sold day-of, and walk-ups won’t be allowed.
Plus, it doesn't have to be father daughter. This can be a fun event for any young lady and her grandfather, uncle or father figure. Whatever the case, it's a great opportunity to spend some quality time with someone you love. Who wouldn't want a chance to do that?
