KWTX reports a Texas man was fatally wounded as FBI agents were conducting an early morning raid at a home in Houston Thursday.

Ulises Valladares was reportedly kidnapped from his home in Conroe. Valladares' 12-year-old son told authorities the men who took his father said the man's brother owed them money, and threatened to hurt the child if he contacted police.

As FBI agents were conducting an operation at a Houston home around 4 AM, one agent shot and fatally wounded Valladares. Details about the shooting were scarce, but it has been confirmed that Valladares later passed away at a hospital.

At a press conference, Conroe police said the two men believed to have kidnapped Valladares were later arrested at a hotel. They said a woman was present at the raided home, left to guard the kidnapping victim. Children were also in the home at the time of the FBI operation.
