Five Million Pounds of Beef Added to Existing Salmonella Recall
Where's the beef? Hopefully, not in your fridge or freezer.
The USDA has added 5,156,076 pounds of raw beef products to a recall that's been in effect for two months.
"The raw, non-intact beef items, including ground beef, were packaged on various dates from July 26, 2018 to Sept. 7, 2018," a USDA news release reads. "The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 267” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to a retail locations and institutions nationwide."
Use the buttons below to view information about the products affected, then check your freezer. If you find any of the recalled labels, take the beef back to the place from which you purchased it or toss it out.
Tuesday's addition of more beef products brings the total to 12,093,271.
