Fort Hood Staff Sergeant Found Unresponsive
Fort Hood officials have released the identity of a soldier found unresponsive at her home in Killeen on February 6.
44-year-old Staff Sgt. Christie Marie Anderson of Hazen, Arkansas served as a multi-channel transmission systems operator-maintainer for the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, and was deployed in support of Operation New Dawn from February 2011 to November 2011.
Anderson's awards and decorations include four Army Commendation Medals, two Army Achievement Medals, three Army Good Conduct Medals, a National Defense Service Medal, an Iraq Campaign Medal with campaign star, a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, a Korean Defense Service Medal, a Noncommissioned Professional Development Ribbon, an Army Service Ribbon, three Overseas Service Ribbons, and a Driver and Mechanic Badge.
The circumstances surrounding her death remained under investigation Monday evening.
