Say it with me: Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!

Now ya done it!

The Ghost with the Most stars in a free outdoor screening of Tim Burton's 1988 comedy-horror classic Beetlejuice at the new Santa Fe Plaza in Temple this Friday, October 18.

The City of Temple invites - nay, downright encourages you - to get in costume and join in on the fun. Activities for the whole family start at 6:30 PM, and showtime is scheduled for 7:30 PM. There will even be free popcorn and treats while supplies last, so get there early with your blankets and lawn chairs.

The Santa Fe Plaza is located at 301 Santa Fe Way in Downtown Temple. If you didn't get a chance to attend last week's ribbon cutting party, this is your opportunity to enjoy this beautiful new addition to Downtown Temple and share a beloved Halloween classic with your kids.

We all know the story of Beetlejuice, right?

An entrepreneur tries to expand his small business, but gets hassled by a goth girl and her two country friends.

Happy couple Barbara and Adam Maitland are killed in a car crash and end up trapped as ghosts in their perfect house in the country. They seem fine with spending a comfy eternity there until the Deetz family shows up and starts redecorating. The Maitlands try haunting the family out, but fail miserably and ask ghostly prankster Beetlejuice for help. By the time they realize he's a psycho and that they actually really like the Deetz's daughter, Lydia, it's too late - Beetlejuice is loose, and you can't get rid of him so easily.

The movie was one of my favorites as a kid, and still is. If you're my age, chances are you know every line by heart and Lydia Deetz (played by Winona Ryder) was either your first crush or the girl you wanted to be when you grew up.

Friday night's free screening of Beetlejuice is the perfect opportunity to share a great movie with your family and make some Halloween memories together.
