Here's some good news for the coffee lovers in Killeen: Dutch Bros Coffee is coming and should be ready to open in the spring.

Anissa Connell with KXXV, Channel 25 reports that Dutch Bros, an Oregon based coffee chain, has picked Killeen as its second Texas location. The first Texas city to get a Dutch Bros Coffee was College Station, and they already opened that location back on January 8th.

The new Dutch Bros Coffee will be at 1109 W Stan Schlueter Loop, and with a new location comes new jobs. They'll be looking to hire between 40 to 50 people, so polish up those resumes.

Dutch Bros Coffee offers more than just coffee. You'll also find smoothies, freezes, and teas available on the menu, plus a private-label Dutch Bros Blue Rebel energy drink and nitrogen-infused cold brew coffee for that hard to motivate individual.

Of course, Dutch Bros Coffee has their own secret menu too.

The company was founded in 1992 by brothers Dane and Travis Boersma, and it's now the largest privately drive-thru coffee place in the country with over 400 locations in 10 states. They also employ 14,000 people.

They also operate the Dutch Bros Foundation, which has donated several million dollars to support nonprofits.

That's all well and good, but how's the coffee? That's going to be the real test when they hang a shingle here in Killeen.

The coffee was great at the Dutch Bros locations I tried back when I lived in Colorado.

The new Stan Schlueter Loop location is set to open in early spring. Start with the Golden Eagle. You'll love it!
