We've been hearing the rumors of "drive-in concerts" for a couple of weeks, but I never thought the idea was actually a real thing until now.

According to Billboard, The Concert in Your Car event will be going down this summer at Globe Life Field, the home of the Texas Rangers. And by all I'm seeing about it, this could actually work.

The Concert in Your Car is from June 4th through the 7th and will feature Eli Young Band, Whiskey Myers, Pat Green, Josh Abbott Band and Kevin Fowler.

Only 400 cars, occupying every other parking spot, will be allowed. The artists will perform on stage like a normal concert, but they'll pipe in the audio through a designated FM frequency. That, or you can just roll down your window. Either way. There will also be jumbo screens so everybody can see.

The cost is $40 per vehicle, so you can pack as many people in your car as you can fit comfortably. But things will be different. There will be no food or beverage sales, but you can bring your own and you'll have to stay in your car. No tailgating or hanging out in the bed of your truck. It won't be allowed, and you can only leave your car to use the facilities, which will be disinfected after each use.

Sounds like fun though, right?
