Guns Fell Into the Wrong Hands During Harker Heights Pawn Shop Robbery
This is the very definition of "guns falling into the wrong hands".
Christopher Shadrock and Alex Gibbs with our partners at News 10 report that thieves stole 29 guns during a holdup at Pawn Palace, 101 E Central Texas Expy in Harker Heights.
Three men reportedly entered the shop around 3 PM Sunday, October 17 and threatened employees before smashing display cases and escaping with the firearms.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest. If you know anything that could bring these thieves to justice and hopefully stop those guns from getting to even scarier people, please give ATF a call at 1-888-ATF-TIPS.
The news comes as police in Temple are investigating a series of shooting incidents in the city over the past couple of weeks. Harker Height is just up the road, and the thought of those ill-gotten guns landing in the hands of nefarious people across Central Texas is not a pleasant one.
