H-E-B is once again stepping up to help vulnerable people in our community, and this time they're partnering with Favor.

The two companies have launched a Senior Support Line to help our elders get the groceries and essentials they need while staying safe at home. Volunteers will accept and process orders over the phone from 11 AM to 3 PM, 7 days a week.

To participate, you can call 1-833-397-0080. You can also order on Favor's website or by downloading the Favor app and searching "h-e-b".

Favor Runners will then personally shop for curated items and deliver them to the customer's home. They'll leave the items at the doorstep to eliminate change of hand contact to protect the customer's health. A $10 tip for the Favor Runner is included.

There are a couple of things you should know about before ordering. The service is for seniors age 60+. There is currently a limit of 25 items per order, and shoppers may need to make substitutions if certain items are unavailable. At this time, they are only delivering to residents who live within 8 miles of their nearest H-E-B.

The service is being offered in the Killeen and Temple metro areas. If you're not sure about the availability of the service in your area, contact your local H-E-B or call the Senior Support Line at 1–833–397–0080.
