For all my pet lovers out there, this event in Harker Heights is most definitely for you.

For a lot of people, animals are not just pets - they are a part of the family. Some people even treat their animals like their own children. Trust me, I know I'm one of those people who are obsessed with their dog. (His name is Rocket Sims.)

If you're looking to have fun in the park with your dog, add another furry friend to your family, or if you've been without a fuzz baby and are looking to adopt, you need to get to Paws in the Park this Saturday.

THE PAWS IN THE PARK

The Paws in the Park event will be from 2 to 5 p.m. March 26 at Purser Family Park, 100 W. Mountain Lion Road, Harker Heights.

There will be an agility course, vendors, pet adoptions, contests, and more at this dog-friendly event. Paws in the Park will be a chance for people to come out and enjoy activities with their furry babies and also have an opportunity to adopt a member of the family if you’d like.

This dog-friendly event is something that the whole family can enjoy, including your pet. My favorite thing about Paws in the Park is the emphasis on adoption. There are so many wonderful pets out there who need a loving and stable place to live, and in return they offer you unconditional love and endless affection and entertainment.

A lot of people don’t even know that they are dog lovers until they go to events like this. In my opinion, dogs can be emotional support and stress relievers for human beings. If you think you’re not an animal person, I would still come out and just consider the idea of seeing what it’s like to adopt a pet. You might find out that dogs really are man’s best friend!
