It's been nearly a month since missing Houston girl Maleah Davis was last seen and police have suspected that the missing 4-year-old is dead.

In a shocking revelation made on Friday, Houston activist Quanell X, who once represented Maleah's mother Brittany Bowens, is claiming that Maleah's stepfather (and current suspect) Derion Vence confessed to dumping her body in Arkansas, according to KTRK in Houston.



 

Mr. X claims that he met with Vence, who has been behind bars since May 11, and that the main claims that the missing girl is indeed dead. He claims it was a result of an accident, though he didn't give any specifics on how she died or where exactly he dumped her body.

"He said he pulled over in Arkansas, got out of the car, walked off the side of the road, and dumped her body off the side of the road," - via KTRK

Houston police have confirmed that they are moving the search to Arkansas and are working with officials there to begin the search for the missing 4 year old's body.


 

 

Maleah was reported missing on May 4 by Vence, who was her primary caretaker while Bowens was out of town for a funeral. When news broke that the girl was missing, he told investigator's he'd been approached by two men in a truck who knocked him out and carried the girl away.

Vence is currently in jail for tampering with evidence. We'll keep you updated with details as they become available.
