Gerald Williams Turns Himself In After Road Rage Shooting Death
It was news that pulled at the heartstrings of every parent in Texas this summer.
A young man with a bright future ahead of him was killed in a road rage incident after leaving an Astros game he attended with his family.
Now for the family of 17-year-old David Xavier Castro, some peace and hopefully healing will begin as they learned that, 34-year-old Houston resident, Gerald Wayne Williams, is now charged with murder in the July 6th fatal shooting that killed their son and Williams has willingly and without incident turned himself in to authorities in Houston after weeks of searching for him.
What happened the night of the shooting?
After an evening at an Astros game with David, his father, and brother, there was an apparent dispute in the Minute Maid parking lot which lead to the Castro family being followed in their truck by an unknown driver of a white 4 door Buick with a sunroof. The Buick followed behind the Casto's truck through several lights before shots rang out, blasting through the glass in the back of the truck as a bullet struck David.
