We all remember we first learned about our friend in the sky known as the moon. As it orbits around the earth, we see it change from various phases, from new moon to full moon. But sometimes, the moon does something other than simply lighting the night sky.

It almost as if, the spooky season has one last moment in the year of 2022.

The next time we'll get to see a lunar eclipse, or a blood moon as some call it, will be on an oddly specific day. That day? November 8th, also know as Election Day in Texas.

Yes you read that right, the blood moon will be over the Lone Star State on Election day. We did say it was an oddly specific day after all.

Details Of When You Can See The Moon

KSAT has more details on how you can see the moon in it entirety. But there's one big catch, it'll be an early wakeup call to see the blood moon. At 4:16 AM CST, the blood moon will be in full eclipse. So before voting begins that day, you can start the day by witnessing the last eclipse we'll see until 2025.

For a more details on how and why a lunar eclipse occurs, NASA has the details you'll be looking for. See you early on November 8th!
