The first thought might be those cow pastures I was talking about. While that is true depending on where you travel, it is common knowledge that you will smell the aroma of brisket and other meats being mesquite smoked.

Of course, you can't forget about the beautiful wildflowers that pop up in the springtime with bright colors from bluebonnets and Indian paintbrushes. What do they smell like? Well, it's a mix of pollen and the faint hint of....well, allergies.

Then you have places like Austin, Texas where the air is infused with the scent of hipster coffee shops, vegan tacos, and the whiff of regret from trying to pull an all-nighter.
