This news story coming out of El Paso is just bizarre.

A female would-be robber enters a house illegally and then stabs the owner of the residence but then just for good measure, she STABS THE DOG TOO!

It doesn't seem in the news articles coming from sources like KTSM 9 that the dog was being aggressive toward Jazzmine Robinson.

The dog was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. His house!

She is now facing a charge of burglary of a habitation with the intention of committing another felony AND she will have animal cruelty charges against her too.

It looks like police were called out to an "aggravated assault" in progress at about 2 a.m. Wednesday, and when they arrived they found Robinson inside the home and brandishing a knife.

She was told her release her weapon which reportedly she did immediately, of course, the damage had been done!

But then during the investigation, police say they learned that Robinson had entered the home without permission, and had an altercation with a 35-year-old man who was inside the home when she decided to stab him in the torso.

This is where police realized the dog inside had been stabbed as well.

Thankfully the man was quickly transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries with the EPDD’s Animal Cruelty Unit still investigating the injuries to the dog.

Robinson was booked with a $75,000 bond and according to USA Today, "Animal cruelty is a felony in Texas and punishable by up to 10 years in prison, with a fine of up to $10,000."
