Wow, are TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Target stores closing in Texas? All three will close this Easter Sunday, but only for the day.

It is great that these big retail giants are closing their doors for the day. All the companies are giving their employees a day off with their families.

Parent company TJX confirmed that its TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Sierra, and HomeSense stores would be closed nationwide to give employees the holiday off. This year, Easter Sunday falls on March 31. Target, too, has announced it will be closing nationwide on Easter Sunday.

Closer to home in Texas, H-E-B will be closed statewide. However, you will have options. Wal-Marts will be open if you need last-minute Easter items for baskets or the family dinner.

The other stores planning to close on Easter Sunday are Aldi, Sam's Club, and Costco.

Numerous other small businesses will be closed on Easter Sunday, so it's best to check before making the trip. However, CNET says some stores will be open for Easter.

It is a good idea to call ahead before making a trip because many stores will operate at shortened or reduced hours for the holiday. It is nice that so many big corporations are giving their associates time off for the holiday this year to enjoy the day!
