More People Are Looking to Move to This Texas City Than Any Other
In case you're wondering which Texas city people are most interested in moving to.
In recent years, there’s been a trend of people looking to get away from the core of big cities and relocate to smaller, more rural communities. In the post-COVID era in which remote work and Zoom meetings are the norm, many people are looking to get more bang for their buck and take advantage of the lower cost of living in a small community.
So, it shouldn’t be a surprise to see that a recent study by moveBuddha found that not one major U.S. city was among the cities people were most interested in moving to. Instead, the Top 25 is dominated by smaller urban areas.
One of the top takeaways of the study is that people are most interested in moving to cities with below-average home prices. It is cheaper, on average, to buy homes in 23 of the 25 cities. With the rate of inflation continuing to rise, people are looking to cut costs any way they can.
One Texas city made the Top 10.
Researchers found that Conroe was among the cities people are most looking at moving to. The lakeside city located about 40 miles north of Houston was found to be the 7th most searched city with a planned move date sometime in 2024.
Of course, not everyone who is looking to relocate to Conroe this year will do it. But still, the results of the study say a lot about the quality of life there.
