Killeen Police Seize Drugs and Stolen Weapon in Traffic Incident
A traffic stop didn’t go as planned when two individuals in the city of Killeen were arrested after police officers discovered four pounds of marijuana, stolen firearms, and cocaine in their vehicle, according to KCENT. To think all of this started with a traffic violation around 11 a.m., conducted by the Killeen Police Department’s Violent Crimes Apprehension Team, is truly unexpected.

It was reported to be one of those routine “please use your blinker like the rest of the civilians” situations—until it quickly escalated. Officers searched the vehicle and found 2,074 grams of marijuana, 44 individual baggies, and 18 grams of cocaine. During the search, police also discovered a stolen handgun.

Both individuals were arrested and transported to the city jail, where they now face multiple charges related to drug possession and possession of a stolen weapon.
