Clifton Park Crossing Guard Now Going Viral In Killeen, Texas
There is a crossing guard at Clifton Park Elementary School in Killeen, Texas that is bringing smiles, joy, and laughter every day to not only the students, but also their parents and teachers. It goes far beyond her signature costumes which have recently gained viral attention to include her infectious positivity and desire to brighten the lives of those around her.
Studies indicate children possibly laugh three hundred to four hundred times per day and if you have ever been around a group of them, you would swear it is even more. What Terri Lockhart is doing in Killeen, and for the students of Clifton Park Elementary goes far beyond that.
How does Terri Lockhart bring so much joy at Clifton Park Elementary in Killeen, TX?
Clifton Park Elementary School Principal Jennifer Carranza shared,
"She really does this job really because she loves it. It's not that she does it for the money. She does it for the kids."
It is not only the children that get the joy bump as they arrive, enter, and then leave the building where they spend the majority of their waking hours. Lockhart is reminded regularly how much the adults enjoy receiving a joy bump too.
In contrast to the many laughs children enjoy per day, adults on the other hand only enjoy about a dozen. Thanks to Lockhart, the number of adults gaining that highly needed extra laugh seems to go up by the day.
