Arrest Made: The Shocking Details Behind Last Night’s Fatal Incident in Waco
According to Fox 44 News, Waco man Joshua Chappelle has been charged with manslaughter. This is an ongoing investigation and a developing story involving a rifle discharge that left one man dead and Chappelle facing criminal charges.

The Scene of the Waco Homicide Where a Man Was Arrested
On Wednesday, October 15, police were called to the 2400 block of South 21st Street shortly after midnight. Upon arrival, they found a 24-year-old male who had suffered gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the arrest affidavit, three people were in the living room at the time of the shooting. A female witness, who was sitting on the couch next to the victim, told police that Chappelle had been waving a rifle around, pointing it at individuals, and making gunshot noises. Tragically, during one of these gestures, the gun discharged, striking the victim. Another individual who had been sleeping in the home awoke to the sound of the gunshot, called 911, and was given instructions on how to perform CPR until officers arrived. Police officers also performed CPR until emergency medical personnel arrived, but the victim was pronounced dead shortly afterward.
Joshua Chappelle has since been taken into custody.
