The city of Harker Heights sent out a boiling water notice that stated that water could be off and the city would correct a water leak on Wilderness Drive the areas affected by the water could shut off blocks from 2200 Wilderness Drive-through 2208 Wilderness Dr. and also the block of 2400 Catawaba Loop through 2425 Catawaba Loop.

TCEQ also known as the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality says The city of Harker Heights is required to notify any customers who are on the list to boil water before any type of consumption, which means if you are washing your hands/face, drinking the water, or even brushing your teeth you will need to boil the water. Elderly individuals, children, and anyone suffering from a weakened immune system are particularly vulnerable to possible harmful bacteria, and all  customers are suggested to follow the directions.

If you’re even thinking about boiling your water to drink but eating your ice out of the fridge you would need to Boil that water as well until about two minutes or over. Once residents no longer need to boil water, the public water system officials will notify Harker Heights residents that the water is safe for drinking and human consumption.
