The Killeen Police Department's Robbery and Homicide are asking for assistance in locating 20 year old Amaun Brandell Gilbert as a person of interest for questioning following the murder of a man on Sunday evening in Killeen, Texas. The murder took place just before 9 PM on the 3300 block of East Rancier Avenue when officers responding to a shots fired call found an unidentified man with a gunshot wound.

The Killeen Emergency Medical Service responded to the shooting and life saving measures were engaged, however, the man was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Nicola James just before 10 PM. The identity of the man is still being withheld as official attempt to locate and notify next of kin.

At this time, you can help by calling Bell County Crime Stoppers or the non emergency line of the Killeen Police Department. At this time, Gilbert is considered a person of interest in this murder and as the investigation remains active, the availability for new information may be limited.
