Many in Temple, Texas are always looking for something to snack on during the day.

There's so many options in the area too! We certainly all have our favorites don't we? But with so many choices, some may go unnoticed.

One of the areas some might have liked to visit while in the Downtown area of Temple was the food truck plaza. For me personally, it was the first time I had Mama Llama, and it did not disappoint.

Recently however, due to multiple issues, it seems the plaza won't be around for much longer.

Temple Food Truck Plaza Is No More In 2024

According to KCEN, the City of Temple has decided to change up the area. Problems with items from the trucks being taken, as well as damage to the trucks occurring led owners of the food trucks to request additional items for security purposes. The main item requested was a security cameras to spot any potential crimes happening.

The suggested cameras were never placed, but to combat the potential of new crimes, KCEN reports Temple police enlarged their presence in area. Now, KCEN states the trucks must leave the spot by January 1, 2024.

The news organization reports that the plaza will be transformed into an event for private and city event usage. Anonymous truck owners told KCEN of their frustration with the decision, and now having to find a new place to set up shop.

As this is a developing story, we will have more information if it becomes available.
