Police in Texas work around the clock to help keep us safe in the state. That includes regularly looking for individuals who attempt to run away from law enforcement for the crimes they have committed. Recently, we discussed the case of Joshua Darnell Lockett.

Lockett was wanted for multiple crimes according to Texas DPS, which were Murder, Aggravated Assault With Deadly Weapon, Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon,  and two counts of Manufacture/Delivery Controlled Substance. Police asked for help to locate his whereabouts, with a reward offered for any tips leading to his capture.

Recently, Texas police were indeed able to locate Lockett, and here's the details of his capture.

Joshua Darnell Lockett Now In Custody

According to Texas DPS, thanks to a tip from an unidentified person, law enforcement in Texas were able to find Lockett. Multiple organizations helped in the arrest, including the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force, U.S. Marshals Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force, DPS Special Agents, Collin County Sheriff’s Office, McKinney Police Department, and the Dallas Police Department.

Texas DPS also reports that a tip did indeed lead to the capture of Lockett, so the individual that provided the tip will receive the $5,000 reward offered.

However, this is just one capture of many wanted individuals in the state of Texas. Police are always keeping us safe, by looking for many wanted individuals in the state. Remember to keep an eye out Texas!
