Video Of New Temple, Texas Shooting Could Be Gang Related
Temple, Texas police are trying to identify a group of young people, possibly teenagers, who were caught on camera with a handgun shooting up a large townhome complex Sunday night around 11, and the Temple Police Department has not ruled out the incident as being gang related. When you watch the video, you immediately have very real concerns and questions about why these type of events happen in the first place.
Under normal circumstances, 4 approximate teenage people walking down the sidewalk a little before 11 PM on a weekend would probably not result in much of anyone paying attention, until 5 gunshots rang out at the Canyon Creek Townhomes. The video shows one of the four pulling out a pistol and firing across the parking lot towards what looks like another individual, and this is why the Temple PD has not ruled out the shooting to be potentially gang related.

Obviously a shooting involving young adults and teens is not something anyone ever wants to see happen especially when it immediately follows the shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs victory parade.
Working in the media, we're constantly researching events like this, and it gets tougher each time especially as a parent knowing there are other kids out there causing chaos like this and willfully committing crimes that include guns without ever pausing to think about their actions.
Hopefully, these kids can be reached before it is too late, and the next gunshots hit something far more precious than a windshield.
