Spring break is going strong throughout Texas right now with many schools, colleges, and universities enjoying a week away while others wait enviously for their turn. My family and I are busy enough in Temple that this small pause to our social calendar is almost like a vacation in itself.

March is a busy month as the calendar not only has spring break, but also Good Friday and Easter, yet April 8th is the day that everyone has circled in their planner.

It is early, but the bluebonnets are already showing, and they will be at their peak for the eclipse viewing as millions will be staring at the sky for the eclipse on April 8th. I found that field right across from the International House Of Pancakes in Temple where the loop meets Interstate 35.
