Victim of Shooting at Waco Red Lobster Passed Away Tuesday Afternoon

Police say the victim of Tuesday's shooting in the parking lot of Red Lobster in Waco has passed away.

KWTX reports that Justin Wayne Bible, 32, was shot while sitting in his car outside the restaurant at 5925 West Waco Drive near the Richland Mall, and passed away shortly after 5:30 PM Tuesday.

Investigators say Bible may have been the target of an assassination. Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton told KWTX it appears as if a man exited a white pickup truck, shot Bible, then got back into the truck and sped away with a getaway driver. Bible's car rolled into another vehicle, so the shooting was initially reported as a traffic collision.

Police have not said why Bible may have been targeted.
