Killeen ISD Student Arrested for Terrorist Threats Online
Our news partners at KWTX are reporting a Killeen ISD student was placed under arrest overnight for making 'terrorist threats' on social media.
Superintendent John Craft made an announcement following a KISD investigation that alleges a 12-year-old girl is responsible for threats made throughout the week online. Craft's announcement mentioned the girl attended Roy J Smith Middle School and that alerts had been sent to the middle school and to other KISD campuses mentioned in the threats.
KWTX reports that Killeen ISD worked with Killeen Police, Federal authorities, and Fort Hood officials. A search warrant was issued and the student was arrested at her home.
