Killeen Pedestrian Airlifted to Hospital After 190 Collision

A pedestrian was airlifted to a local hospital after being hit by a truck in Killeen Wednesday afternoon.

Alex Cano with our news partner, KWTX, reports that the man was struck by a pickup as he tried to cross the eastbound US 190/I-14 access road between W.S. Young Dr. and Stan Schlueter Loop shortly after Noon. The driver of the truck did stop, so we're not looking at a hit-and-run.

The victim was flown to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Police said his injuries appeared to be critical.

Witnesses described seeing the victim walking in and out of traffic before the collision.
