Killeen Police Release Video of Attempted Burglary Suspect
I know crime isn't funny, but the look on this suspect's face when things don't go according to plan is priceless.
The Killeen Police Department and Bell County Crime Stoppers have released surveillance footage of a man trying to hurl what a brick or piece of concrete through the window of a convenience store. Things get real about 10 seconds in.
According to Crime Stoppers spokeswoman Ofelia Miramontez, police received a report about an attempted burglary at the store in the 300 block of East Stan Schlueter Loop on Sunday, August 11. I can't imagine their reactions when they reviewed the footage.
The suspect is descried as a black man last seen wearing a green and beige hoodie, plaid pajama pants, black shoes, and glasses.
(Police haven't said so, but I like to imagine he still has that dazed expression on his face.)
If you recognize the guy or have any information that might be helpful to detectives, get in touch with Bell County Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-TIPS (8477) or bellcountycrimestoppers.com. You can also text BELLCO along with the information to 274637.
Information submitted to Crime Stoppers is anonymous and confidential, and a tip leading to an arrest could net a cash reward of up to $1,000.
